Lights in the Shadow: AU based on a concept borrowed from LizBee’s fanfiction Your Treasure Spent. In which Zuko and Katara do not meet Azula in an Agni Kai, but Aang succeeds in defeating Phoenix King Ozai in combat and taking his bending. Azula is crowned Fire Lord. Graciously, she allows Ozai to remain at court, and continue residing in the royal palace. He repays her generosity by arranging her a political marriage that she doesn’t want, but has no choice but to accept. And that is only the beginning of her problems. Part One, Part Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten [currently incomplete, more parts to come]
Strings: Episode 9 AU. Amon never shows up, and Tarrlok succeeds in his plan to escape Republic City and take Korra with him as a hostage. Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four, Part Five, Part Six, Part Seven, Part Eight, Part Nine, Part Ten, Part Eleven, Part Twelve, Part Thirteen, Part Fourteen, Part Fifteen, Part Sixteen, Part Seventeen, Part Eighteen [currently incomplete, more parts to come]
Wither: AU of Strings, in which Korra never quite “adjusts” to having a romantic relationship with Tarrlok, the bloodbender who’s holding her captive.
The Way You Look Tonight: Short, fluffy behind-the-scenes-of-Strings piece. Korra and Tarrlok have drastically different tastes in music, and dance together for the second time ever.
The Strings-inspired music masterpost can be found here.
Chiaroscuro: Written to fill a prompt on ficbending, involving Amon’s reactions to Korra and Tarrlok’s politically-arranged marriage. The prompt: “So there are lots of prompts and fiches on Korra marrying Tarrlok for political reasons, but I haven’t seen any that show Noatak’s feelings on his brother’s bride. Not just how this arrangement will affect the Equalist movement, but also on a more personal level. Then Noatak went to check on his little brother’s married life and noticed that Tarrlok genuinely loved his wife, and this made Noatak feel bad about his plans involving the Avatar - who is now his sister-in-law. Bonus if Korra was pregnant with Tarrlok’s child and when news gets to Amon, he was secretly happy of the fact that he was an uncle now.”
Happy Endings: (for lack of a better title) A short oneshot exploring Tarrlok’s fate in the aftermath of “Endgame.”
Imprisoned: Episode 8 AU. After Amon and a handful of Equalists inadvertently witness Korra’s kidnapping, Amon sees a golden opportunity to take down Korra and Tarrlok, two of the greatest threats to his movement, with one strike. Held captive by the Equalists, and locked up together, the two of them are forced to put aside their enmity and coexist. Part One, Part Two.
Hair: Short sidestory/outtake from Imprisoned. Tarrlok has a problem, and Korra has the solution.
Taken: Back in the South Pole, Tonraq finds out that his daughter has been kidnapped, and he’ll stop at nothing to return her to safety. Liam Neeson’s got nothing on him. Episode 9 AU.
